I started beading in 1996, when I purchased a second hand wedding dress from a
friend. In a attempt to make it my own, I bought a few beads and sequences to add to the dress. At first, I figured a few
beads here and there and it would be perfect….boy was I wrong. 100 hours later and more then a few beads, I had made
myself a dress that was all my own. And the addiction began….
When I first started to learn how to bead I turned to the Internet. There is a
wealth of information right at your finger tips, this is where I learned from bead sites and other fellow bead artists who
were extremely helpful in answering any questions that I had. I also went to the local library and took out as many books
and magazines that I could find on the subject. Practice, practice, practice.
I live on the West Coast of Canada in Beautiful British Columbia. The inspiration
for my beadwork comes from my backyard. The Mountains, Ocean, Scenery, Shapes, Textures and Colors all inspired the many custom
pieces that I design.
I now design pieces in my spare time and am currently beginning to work with wire.
Another addiction….
